with the Latest bold release that I will be posting on our blog. I went ahead (you know when I have time) and did a major research on what file format is best for encoding music.

I want to begin by saying that I’m a music lover, and keeping my files and songs for an eternity is a must for me. “dark side of the moon may disappear one day” from the world.

Any who, many would argue that one format is better than the other, truth of the matter is ……”who cares” whether is .mp3 or apple’s .aac encoder,

but we all know why apple pushes the aac format, since is the native for itunes. Ah did I mention apple store.

After careful research I’ve arrived to this conclusion, format is not as important as the encoder “yes I said encoder”
L.A.M.E. MP3 is the best encoder out there, the bit rate is automatically controlled or not (depends on how much knowledgeable you are with musica)
If you’re a geek like me, you will compile and do the whole programming crap. You can download those files here http://lame.sourceforge.net/index.php

If not, and you’re lazy also like me, you can search for a LAME encoder for your OS (operating system ) on google and paid for it.

I found one that is top notch http://www.kapraet.com/support.html it even puts your songs directly into itunes. Upps sorry that’s for the MAC only
